Juananu Marsh
This privately owned marsh lies between the towns of Pedernales and Cojimies. It is fed from the winter rains which fill the marsh area, during the summer months this marsh provides pressure to the underground water system so it literally provides fresh water to most of the nearby areas including the town of Cojimies.
The marsh has also isolated some forest and is home of many birds and howler monkeys.
The only way to visit is to make arrangements through Hotel Coco Solo.
